Howard knows music His entire life has been music-oriented. He studied clarinet and piano (both classical and pop) during his school years. During summer vacations he played piano in a resort hotel in New Jersey. His sister is also musically talented. As Ruth Kaye, she has been doing one-woman shows for 30 years. Music touched every aspect of his long career in broadcasting. He has a long stream of credits in radio, tv and recording as: producer, director, promotion (for Mike Douglas), film editor, record reviewer and ad copy writer. Then he retired and he and his wife moved to Florida. As he puts it: "My stumbling on barbershop singing occurred as a result of a neighbor who asked me to go with him to a rehearsal. I was not anxious but relented after his urging, and, as they say...Da REST IS HISTORY!"
